Your Tasks:

You will become part of our global “Market Strategies and Innovations” team, consisting of Global Directors Market Strategies for main segments PI is active in, and Portfolio Directors for specific targeted regions or sub-segments. The team is headed by our Senior VP Market Strategies and Innovations.

  • You sustain and build a global network within your segment, and are able to analyze, visualize, and communicate the short-, mid-, and long-term developments of the Semiconductor industry eco-system and PI’s competitive position herein.
  • You perform market research, build up market intelligence on customer needs and interests, competitor developments, and other players in the eco-system, to be able to define PI’s product-/solution-/technology-portfolio functionalities, unique selling points, and value propositions now and in the future.
  • You manage the Semiconductor portfolio(s) by developing actionable business cases in close and regular cooperation with R&D-, Marketing-, Sales-, Operations-, and Service teams.
  • You continuously monitor the product lifecycles, technical- and financial (revenue, profitability, ROI, cost saving) portfolio(s) performance to maximize profitability and market share, and make data-driven decisions to adjust strategies as needed.
  • You guide/support cross-functional teams in the role of ‘internal client’ in development, launch, and training of new products, ensuring alignment with market needs and business goals. You maintain a ‘client-vendor’ type relationship with such cross-functional teams.
  • You regularly make presentations internal and external (e.g. at international trade fairs and conferences, industry associations, customer visits) to support the segment strategy.

 

Your Profile:

You are a strong analytical personality with excellent communication and presentation abilities, and the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.

  • You have the equivalent of a master's degree or higher in engineering, physics, business administration, or a related discipline, and good knowledge of high-tech engineering. An advanced degree is a plus.
  • You have at least eight (8) years functional experience in product management, application development, system architecting, or business development. International experience is a must; global experience is a plus.
  • You are an experienced “semicon-networker” and hold a proven relevant and active network.
  • You are strong in problem-solving, and decision making.
  • You have good leadership and project management skills, preferably in working with cross-functional teams.
  • You have a good understanding of product lifecycle management, market analysis, strategic planning, financial analysis, and product management.
  • You are willing to travel globally more than 40% of your time
